Once a sleepy, seaside suburb. Frankston evolved into a grotty, end of the train line town with a bad reputation. Now, there can be little doubt that Frankston is on the up, transforming into a heaving hub of activity and growth. Frankston has indeed come full circle.
Major infrastructure projects are currently underway including the Level Crossing Removal project and Frankston Station Redevelopment project, and this will mean that Frankston is sought out for its connectivity to jobs and opportunities, as well as its bay views.
When choosing a location for our business we wanted somewhere that would grow with me, and that is exactly what has happened. Population increases and migrations to Frankston have meant a wave of new and exciting businesses to work with. There is also a growing appreciation of the tech community and startups in our area with the establishment of the Frankston Foundry and upcoming Peninsula Hackathon & Technology Festival which will be held over the weekend of August 11-13. Importantly, people are migrating down from the city and seeking a lifestyle change, bringing a new wave of innovative thinking to the Peninsula as we have never experienced before.
I am thrilled to be part of the Frankston community and Modern Visual is actively supporting other businesses and local events on a regular basis such as the Frankston Bombers, Seaford Cricket Club and the Community Kinders Plus Family Fun Day.
